Nominations open for Volunteering Awards 2021

Volunteers are a vital part of Tasmania’s social fabric and the 2021 Tasmanian Volunteering Awards is an opportunity for us all to thank and celebrate the important work they do each and every day.

I encourage Tasmanians to nominate someone who generously volunteers their time to help others.

Tasmania is home to more than 297,000 volunteers who enable many events and services to operate in each corner of the State.

Without our volunteers, many of these events and services would simply not occur.

This year a new category has been added, the Youth Volunteer Award, which highlights Tasmanian volunteers aged 25 years or younger who contribute to building a stronger, healthier and more resilient Tasmania.

Winners of the Tasmanian Volunteering Awards will be announced during National Volunteer Week, at a special event at Government House on 17 May 2021.

Nominations close on 15 March 2021.
