27 new Constables join the Tasmania Police ranks

I would like to congratulate the 27 new Constables who are graduating from the Tasmania Police Recruit Course today, and are now commencing their career on the front line, dedicated to keeping Tasmanians safe.

The 13 women and 14 men will start service next week after completing their rigorous recruit training which has prepared them to serve and protect the Tasmanian community.

The new Constables will be spread across the state, with 4 new Constables in Hobart, 5 at Glenorchy, 1 at Bridgewater, 13 at Launceston, 2 at Devonport, and 2 at Burnie.

I wish the graduates well as they embark on their new careers and forge their own paths within Tasmania Police.

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is rebuilding our police service, with 308 additional police officers being recruited to the front line.
