Bringing the best sport to Tasmania

Applications for grants under the 2019-20 National/International Sport Championships Program open today.

The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to developing and supporting opportunities for all Tasmanians to participate in more sport and recreation, including the investment in sport and programs encouraging all Tasmanians to be more physically and mentally healthy and active.

The Program provides support to eligible organisations for the hosting of national or international sport championships within Tasmania.

The Hodgman Liberal Government has the goal of making Tasmania the healthiest population in Australia by 2025.

To meet this ambitious target, we provide a range of grant programs administered by Communities Tasmania to improve opportunities for Tasmanians to participate in sport and active recreation.

Applications for the Program are open until 31 March 2020, or until program funds are exhausted, and events must be held between today and 30 November 2020.

The Guidelines and Application Form are available at www.communities.tas.gov.au or by email at csrgrants@communities.tas.gov.au or telephone on 1800 204 224.
