Tasmania’s much-loved carnival of song, Festival of Voices, is back for another year, with festivities for the 2019 iteration kicking off tomorrow.
Now in its 15th year, the festival has become one of our State’s favourite winter traditions, bringing visitors to Tasmania and encouraging locals to embrace the cooler months.
Showcasing the best talent from around the world and working with and inspiring Tasmanian artists and audiences, there is a depth of engagement from both visitors and locals that is unique to this festival.
The Hodgman Liberal Government is proud to have committed $1.5 million to support the program over the past three years, and I urge Tasmanians to get out and join in the fun.
Whether it is listening to some amazing vocal talent or taking part in the varied workshops on offer, there is something for all ages and musical tastes to enjoy.
