Developing more quality coaches in Tasmania

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is creating opportunities to develop more quality coaches in Tasmania for athletes to receive the best possible guidance in their chosen sport.

Applications for the Tasmanian Institute of Sport Coaching Centre Scholarships are now open.

The Tasmanian Institute of Sport (TIS) through the TIS Coaching Centre (TCC) is offering three coaching scholarships to further develop and progress Tasmanian coaches within high-performance sport.

The purpose of the TIS is to develop world-class athletes and to achieve this they are identifying, supporting, and investing in the next generation of coaches within Tasmania.

Scholarship support will be tailored to individual coaches, providing a wide range of contemporary development opportunities, along with access to valuable national experience in their chosen sport through exposure to national camps and high-performance teams.

The Scholarships are open to Tasmanian residents over the age of 18 and applications will close on Monday 11 April 2022.

Scholarships will provide funding to the value of $4,000 for a 12 month period to each recipient.
