Keeping Tasmanians safe

Tenders to redevelop the TasALERT website and the development of a TasRECOVERY website have been released as part of the Tasmanian Liberal Government’s plan to keep Tasmanians safe.

These tenders will deliver a whole of Government publishing system that will issue multi-hazard warnings on the TasALERT site as well as hazard specific warnings being published to the TFS and SES websites.

Representatives from the Department of Police Fire and Emergency management (DPFEM), TFS and SES are working together in creating the technical specifications for the Publishing system component of the Tender.

The project is funded by the Australian and Tasmanian Governments under a National Partnership Agreement (NPA) for risk reduction and resilience initiatives.

The websites and system will be operational by mid- 2022, aligning with the new SES State Flood warnings system being implemented.

In addition, the TasRECOVERY website will be a new sister site to TasALERT that can be used for all future Tasmanian Government recovery activities, including the work of a Recovery Taskforce.
