Willie lets the cat out of the bag: Labor is soft on drugs

In a startling admission today, Labor MP Josh Willie has confirmed that Labor wants to go soft on drugs.

At a media conference, Mr Willie said that he didn’t think declaring war on drugs is the right approach. He also said that: “We obviously think that we can’t keep doing the same thing.”*

What does Mr Willie suggest then?  What is Labor’s policy on drugs? Or is this the latest major issue that Labor doesn’t have a policy on?

It sounds like Mr Willie wants to adopt the Greens’ policy of normalising drugs rather than treating them as the scourge on society that they are.

If that’s the case, then it’s just another example of Labor and the Greens getting closer and closer.
