Over the past 12 months, Tasmania has had the fastest jobs growth in the country, with a massive four per cent increase in the number of people employed.
The ABS data also shows that since the election of the Hodgman Government, 11,500 jobs have been created and the participation rate is the highest since early 2015.
But we know there is still a lot more to do. That’s why we have set a target to reduce youth unemployment to the national average and to have the lowest unemployment rate of any state in the country by 2022.
