Celebrating 10 years of Employer of Choice awards

STRICTLY EMBARGOED UNTIL 8:00PM THURSDAY 22 JUNE 2017

The Hodgman Liberal Government congratulates the 15 Tasmanian organisations that have been recognised at the 10th annual Employers of Choice gala event in Hobart tonight.

The Employer of Choice awards recognise organisations that demonstrate contemporary workplace practices and outstanding support for their staff.

Over the decade, 84 Employer of Choice award winners from across the state have been recognised, which collectively employ about 15,000 Tasmanians.

This year’s inductees come from a broad range of sectors including social and health services, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing and training, and demonstrate the high regard for accreditation across our industries.

Employer of Choice accreditation is a highly sought after and recognised tick of approval among our business, community and service sectors, as judged by the business community itself.

Award winners demonstrate a commitment to supporting work-life balance, employee engagement, communication, leadership and continuous improvement.

All Employers of Choice stand as recognised leaders in our community by providing great workplaces and looking after their people, and through them, providing motivated and high-quality customer service.

By recognising these important and varied organisations, the Hodgman Government is supporting Tasmanians to ensure workplaces are safe, welcoming and successful.
