I was delighted to attend the 2016 Earth Awards in Hobart last night where Northern Tasmanian construction company Shaw Contracting Pty Ltd was recognised with a Safety at Roadworks Award.
The award is appropriate recognition of the fine work that all of Shaw Contracting’s contractors and staff do in maintaining our valuable road network.
Shaw Contracting has shown a strong commitment to safety within its organisation, and their audit results this year were again a stand-out, resulting in a second consecutive Safety at Roadworks Award.
I congratulate Shaw Contracting on their award and thank all of the valuable civil construction workers across Tasmanian for their work in ensuring the safety of our roads.
