Congratulations to Tasmanian-based cultural institution, Terrapin Puppet Theatre, which is one of eight new arts organisations to receive ongoing funding under the National Performing Arts Partnership Framework.
Terrapin joins the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra as the second Tasmanian performing arts organisation to be entered into the Framework, bringing the total number of supported organisations to 38.
These 38 key arts and cultural institutions from around Australia will be able to benefit from the stability afforded by long-term Government partnership funding.
Founded in Tasmania in 1981, Terrapin has achieved international acclaim for their inventive, contemporary, puppetry-based performances, which cater for all ages and a diverse, worldwide audience.
The National Performing Arts Partnership Framework is a collaboration between the Australian Government and all states and territories administered through the Australia Council, which aims to bring more diversity and innovation to our national performing arts organisations.
