Hostile mainland takeover of Tasmanian Labor

Tasmanian Labor has once again been plunged into crisis after Federal Labor announced that it would be taking control of the hapless party until 2025.

This White flag moment signals the second beginning of the end for the Leader of the Party who is now officially the leader in name only, after retaking the leadership from David O’Byrne.

Labor’s internal party chaos caused Bastian Seidel’s messy resignation and ultimately led to this landmark all-time low moment for Tasmanian Labor.

Dr Seidel said he could not work in the “toxic environment” under Rebecca White.

Things got so bad that the then-President of the Party Ben McGregor was threatening to sue Ms White, and major trade unions disaffiliated from Labor.

This mayhem saw last year’s Labor State conference canned and it will probably be cancelled again this year.

It is clear that, with this unprecedented intervention, Federal Labor has finally had enough of the brand damage Ms White’s rabble are causing it.

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is hard at work delivering outcomes on issues that matter to Tasmanians, while the crisis-ridden Labor Opposition continues to talk about themselves, with no policies, no plans and absolutely no ideas.
