Roger Jaensch,

Contractor appointed for West Ulverstone CFLC

Improving the health, wellbeing, education and care of Tasmania’s children in their early years is a priority for the Tasmanian Liberal Government.

Our Government is supporting parents, strengthening communities and enhancing the accessibility of services by delivering on our $28 million commitment to build six new Child and Family Learning Centres (CFLC) across Tasmania.

Families on the North West Coast are one step closer to being able to access these services with Vos Construction and Joinery appointed to build the new West Ulverstone CFLC.

Extensive community consultation has been undertaken for the new CFLC, which is located on Maud Street and adjacent to West Ulverstone Primary School, to ensure the facilities and services it will provide are tailored to meet the needs of local families.

CFLCs offer a variety of critical services all in one place to support families with young children from birth to age 5 and are part of the Tasmanian Government’s commitment to supporting our youngest learners, their parents and carers.

Construction will commence on the new West Ulverstone CFLC in the coming weeks and is expected be completed in late 2023.

Construction of new CFLCs is already under way at Wynyard and East Tamar, with works commencing on the new Kingborough, Glenorchy and Sorell CFLCs in 2023.
