The Tasmanian Government recognises and thanks the thousands of Tasmanian women who play an incredibly important role in the State’s rapidly growing and diversifying agriculture sector.
The AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award is Australia’s leading award empowering and celebrating the inclusive and courageous leadership of women and the essential role they play in rural and regional businesses, industries and communities.
Three Tasmanian women have been announced as the State finalists for the 2022 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award.
The Tasmanian winner will be announced at an award ceremony at Parliament House in April and will receive a $15,000 grant from platinum sponsor Westpac. The winner will also compete for the National Award and a further $20,000 Westpac grant for their project, which will be announced at a gala dinner in Canberra later in the year.
The Tasmanian Awards are also supported by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania, and Tasmanian Women in Agriculture.
The Encouragement Award and Development Awards are sponsored by Tasmanian Women in Agriculture and winners will receive $2,000 and $1,000 respectively.
