An outstanding addition to the East Coast visitor experience

It was my great pleasure to celebrate the official opening of the expansion of the Devils Corner Cellar Door, which will cement its place as a spectacular must-visit destination.

Investments like these are a testament to the confidence in our regions, and will help to accommodate discerning travellers who turn to Tasmania for its unique and extraordinary experiences.

I commend the Brown Family Wine Group for its vision to create an exceptional cellar door and visitor experience.

Above all, I thank the Brown Family for their commitment to Tasmania and the outstanding contribution it has made to our wine industry over many years.

Importantly, this complements the $35 million worth of investments by the Tasmanian Liberal Government into the East Coast tourism region to enhance our world-class, iconic experiences.

There is no doubt that the past two years have been a journey, but with COVID cases stabilising and as one of the most vaccinated places on the earth, it is with growing confidence we look to a brighter future.

Our unemployment rate is at its lowest level on record and the latest ABS payroll data shows Tasmanian businesses have recorded the second-highest jobs growth in the country at the start of 2022.

In addition, Tasmanian businesses continue to have the highest levels of confidence and some of the best conditions in the nation, and this is translating into more growth and more jobs.

These impressive results are what gives the Private Sector, such as the Brown Family Wine Group, the confidence to invest in Tasmania.

Congratulations to the entire team at Devils Corner and the Brown Family Wine Group for creating this amazing space inspired by the local environment.
