agriCULTURED has made its triumphant return in 2022 following a successful inaugural event in 2021.
The four day event in Northern Tasmania features a variety of diverse cultural and learning experiences tailored for agri-food and industry professionals, and practitioners from interstate and across Tasmania.
Nic Street, Minister for Hospitality and Events, said the event has firmly made its mark in the State’s events calendar.
“The Tasmanian Government, through Events Tasmania, is committed to supporting our events sector to grow and thrive,” he said.
“From the paddock, to the plate, the world wants what Tassie’s got. agriCULTERED brings some of Tasmania’s finest, beverage makers, growers, producers, and farmers to Northern Tasmania, showcasing their unique talents in one of our State’s incredible settings.
We are pleased to have provided $400,000 in grant funding through Events Tasmania to support the delivery of agriCULTURED in 2021 and 2022.”
The event is also an opportunity for industry professionals and practitioners to connect, innovate and to inspire each other across a range of unique events and experiences designed to cultivate conversation about food and agriculture.
Jo Palmer, Minister for Primary Industries and Water, said agriCULTURED was the perfect setting to highlight to a broader audience what Tasmania's innovative farmers and food producers do every day - produce high quality, diverse, seasonal food for all to enjoy.
“Our agriculture sector underpins many of our rural communities, supporting Tasmanian families and bringing visitors to our regions to explore our fabulous agri-tourism and cellar door experiences.”
Food lovers from across the State will all be catered for, with a range of programmed activities and experiences to satisfy the most sophisticated of palates including a curated round of Big hART’s Acoustic Life of Farm Sheds musical performances.
The keynote address will be presented by renowned TV presenter, author and chef Adam Liaw, and programmed events and activities will be delivered in farms, barns and across the agricultural landscapes of northern Tasmania.
The event takes place from 4 - 7 of August 2022, and the full program can be viewed on the event’s website: www.agricultured.com.au
