Tasmanian building company Ronald Young & Co has won national recognition at the 2020 Australian Housing Awards held on Friday night.
They were awarded the 2020 HIA Australian Professional Medium Builder / Renovator while Tasmanian apprentice Jake Blokker won the 2020 HIA Jim Brookes Australian Apprentice award.
I congratulate Ronald Young & Co’s Paul and Lisa Burnell and their hard-working and dedicated team for receiving such a high national honour.
Jake Blokker’s achievement is also one Tasmania can be very proud of.
These awards are the pinnacle of the housing awards and recognise the best in Australia’s residential building industry.
The success of Tasmanian builders demonstrates the quality and resilience of our State’s building and construction sector.
The Tasmanian Government understands the COVID-19 challenges faced by the building and construction sector and we are closely engaging with them to ensure the industry thrives as we recover.
