Special exemption for the Easter Bunny to travel to Tasmania

The number one priority of our Government is to keep Tasmanians safe and secure, that’s why we introduced the strongest border controls in the country.

However I have been asked to consider one very important exemption for a special traveller at Easter time.

Today I would like to confirm that the Easter Bunny has been granted special permission by the Tasmanian Government to travel to our state to deliver Easter eggs this year.

I know how very special this time of year is, and Tasmanian children can rest assured the Easter Bunny will be coming.

During this week the Deputy Premier, Jeremy Rockliff, is also planning to do a special live Question & Answer session to discuss the importance of staying home and staying safe these holidays and how young people can stay connected and occupied during these weeks away from school.
