Improving outcomes for our newest Tasmanians

The Hodgman Liberal Government has a plan for all Tasmanians, including those who have recently called our island state home.

The Government is providing $100,000 in 2018-19 for the Learning Grants Program to provide additional learning support for refugee and migrant students to optimise their opportunities in Tasmania.

The Program aims to support the learning and educational outcomes of our newest Tasmanians, and to foster cross-cultural understanding.

I’m delighted to announce that the successful applicants for the Learning Grants Program 2018-19 are:

  • Mathematical Foundation for Migrant Learning;
  • English for the Educational Pathway;
  • Making Connections – Guiding Migrants on the Educational pathway; and
  • Multicultural Youth (MY) Language in Focus – English (Life).
