Update on Victoria

Earlier today, Victorian authorities announced that Melbourne’s lockdown will be extended for another seven days until 11.59pm Thursday 10 June and that some restrictions will be lifted including those applied to regional Victoria.

The details of the extent of the restrictions will be finalised overnight.

However, based on Public Health advice it is apparent that travel will be restricted to and from at least the greater Melbourne area for another seven days.

Further details in relation to regional Victoria will be considered by Tasmanian Public Health authorities overnight, and a further update will be provided to Tasmanians tomorrow.

For now, the current travel restrictions with Victoria remain in place and can be found at www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au
