Labor and Greens ignoring the facts on the Northern Suburbs Transit Corridor

The Labor-Green alliance should get their facts straight before teaming up to complain.

The Tasmanian Government remains committed to activating the Northern Suburbs Transit Corridor and delivering an effective public transport solution, with a preferred solution to be delivered within 5-10 years as an outcome under the Hobart City Deal.

The Hobart and Glenorchy City Councils have provided feedback on the initial consultant’s report, with changes now being considered and incorporated into the final report.

The Northern Suburbs Transit Corridor Working Group will be meeting shortly to discuss the updated report and once finalised, an updated version will be sent to the Government for consideration.

We intend for this to publicly released as soon as possible following this process.

It’s no surprise that Labor and the Greens are yet again teaming up to mislead and complain, but we won’t be rushed into a knee-jerk decision on this important issue.
