Young Tasmanian Aboriginal Women and Girls Leaders Scholarships 2020

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is continuing to deliver on our commitment to Reset the Relationship with Tasmanian Aboriginal communities, which includes investing in initiatives to empower and encourage the next generation of Aboriginal female leaders.

Today I am pleased to announce the Young Tasmanian Aboriginal Women and Girls Leaders Scholarship 2020 program, an initiative of the Tasmanian Government to support emerging leaders.

These scholarships will enable recipients to participate in leadership and personal development opportunities which are outside of their normal education or training requirements.

The Scholarship Program is seeking applications from Tasmanian Aboriginal women and girls aged 15 to 24 years to apply for five scholarships worth $1000 each.

Applications close on Friday 14 February 2020.

Information on the Scholarship Program, including guidelines and details about how to apply are available on the Communities Tasmania webpage https://www.communities.tas.gov.au/csr/oaa/young-aboriginal-women-and-girls-leaders-scholarship or by calling OAA on 6165 8366 or emailing oaa@communities.tas.gov.au.
