White's Medihotel Madness # 1 - Permanent leasing of existing hotel beds

The more Rebecca White tries to explain her Medihotels blunder the more questions emerge.

On Tasmania Talks today Ms White indicated Labor will not build additional hotel beds for their disastrous "Medihotel", instead, Labor would lease existing hotel beds in hotels.

Ms White indicated that under any contracts these beds would need to be available year round, including the peak tourist season.

Hotels are big business and they operate at a profit.

It is beyond crazy to expect that hotels would lease out rooms for patients at a rate that Ms White says must be “good value to taxpayers” when they can charge a premium for tourists.

Now that we know that Ms White plans to lease existing hotel beds for her crazy plan, she needs to indicate exactly which hotels Labor is proposing.

The Grand Chancellor? Wrest Point Casino? The Country Club? Or perhaps the Welcome Stranger?

Every time Ms White speaks about her disastrous Medihotels policy, it unravels a little bit more.
