Written exams start for TCE students

A total of 6,937 Tasmanian Year 11 and 12 students will begin their Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) from tomorrow, and will run until the 21st of November.

Students will sit at one of 30 exam centres around the state, with written exams undertaken in 50 accredited courses.

The first day of exams will see students studying Religion and Chemistry pick up their pens, with Economics and Drama marking the completion of the exam period.

719 Markers are confirmed for written, folio, oral and practical exams which includes the Marking Coordinators for each course.

Students can register to receive their results by email on Tuesday 17 December. Registration is via the TASC website www.tasc.tas.gov.au

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is committed to lifting educational outcomes in Tasmania, and are investing record amounts into education.

I would like to wish all the hard working students the very best for their exams, and the beginning of an exciting future in the world of work, training or further study.
