Tenders advertised for school upgrades

The Hodgman Liberal Government has a goal to lead the nation in education, and that is why we are making the biggest state investment in Government school infrastructure in 20 years.

Across the forward estimates, the Government is Building Tasmania’s Future by upgrading students’ learning environments while growing the Tasmanian economy, with $110 million invested over four years to upgrade facilities at schools around the state.

Today three significant building tenders will be advertised that will see our current and future students enjoy high-quality education facilities that meet the needs of modern learners.

The construction tenders advertised today are:

  • Somerset Primary School: construction of new general learning areas, support space and amenities
  • Trevallyn Primary School: construction of two new general learning areas
  • Deloraine Primary School: construction of two new general learning areas.

These projects are part of that commitment to ensure students have access to contemporary and flexible facilities where they have the greatest opportunity to explore their passions and discover a path to their future career.

Tasmanian schools across the state will benefit from construction projects advertised for tender providing capital investment upgrades to students’ learning environments, all the while driving economic growth and creating jobs.

We are committed to creating a job ready generation of young Tasmanians and that is why we will continue to implement our long-term Plan to Build Tasmania’s Future.
