Tender advertised for upgrades for Years 11-12 at Devonport High School

The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to breaking the cycle of disadvantage and create a job ready generation, which is why we implemented our long term plan to extend high schools to years 11 and 12.

Today a very significant building tender for Devonport High School has been advertised which will see our current and future students enjoy high-quality education facilities that meet the needs of modern learners.

The construction tender advertised is for the construction of an additional general learning area, study area, and lounge spaces to provide modern contemporary learning environments.

The Hodgman Government is making the biggest state investment in Government school infrastructure in 20 years – building our education future by upgrading students’ learning environments while growing the Tasmanian economy.

In total $110 million will be invested over four years to upgrade facilities at schools around the state.

These projects are part of that commitment to ensure students have access to contemporary and flexible facilities where they have the greatest opportunity to explore their passions and discover a path to their future career.

It is also part of a strategic investment in our state’s infrastructure that will drive economic growth and create jobs from planning to construction.
