Today I am pleased to announce that the tender for a $2.06 million project to provide school support accommodation on the Brooks High School site has been advertised. This project will assist in consolidating departmental support staff in the Launceston area.
We are focused on building Tasmania’s education future by ensuring schools, staff, students and the community are supported with high-quality learning facilities, while driving economic growth and creating jobs from planning to construction.
A total of $96 million is being invested across the forward estimates in capital works which includes new schools, school upgrades, new Early Learning Hubs and school farm redevelopments.
