TasWater price increase

Tasmanians struggling under the rising cost of living has been dealt another blow with confirmation that water prices will rise by over four percent a year for the next three years.

It’s simply not good enough that Tasmanians are forced to keep on paying more and more for substandard water and sewerage services.

In contrast, under the Government’s Plan to take control of TasWater, price increases will be capped as low as 2.75 per cent per year.

It shows how out of touch Labor are with the needs of everyday Tasmanians that they oppose our takeover, and therefore support higher water prices.
