Tassie ICT sector launches FutureFest 2019

Tasmania’s ICT sector has today launched FutureFest 2019, a week-long celebration of technology in our State including networking events, summits, an entrepreneurial pitch night and a range of professional development opportunities.

The festival includes a packed program of 32 events across Hobart and Launceston, all of which will help to showcase Tasmania’s diverse and innovative technological capability.

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is proud to again be supporting FutureFest, which not only celebrates what Tasmanians have already achieved in the ICT sector, but also helps shape Tasmania’s digital future.

Delivering our commitment to strengthen ties between Government and Tasmania’s ICT sector, as part of the FutureFest 2019 program we will host the third of our bi-annual ICT Sector Summits to discuss digital transformation and important reforms to the Government’s cloud policy and IT procurement processes.

As part of the Government’s broad efforts to simplify procurement and in line with our Buy Local policy, we are committed to making it easier for Tasmanian businesses to tender for Government contracts and grow our ICT sector to create even more jobs.
