Congratulations to all students who competed in this year’s Schools Triathlon Challenge.
The Challenge is celebrating its 10th anniversary with record entry numbers of more than 5,200 children from across 150 schools making the start line.
Events like this, which encourage children to be active and play more sport will help us achieve our goal to be the healthiest state in the nation by 2025.
The Tasmanian Government has provided $20,000 to Triathlon Tasmania through its Communities, Sport and Recreation’s State Grants Program.
Through its partnership with Diabetes Tasmania the Challenge will also raise funds to help young people living with the condition.
In addition, 20 per cent of all money raised by students goes to their school to purchase sport and outdoor equipment.
Congratulations again to all of the 2017 competitors as well as Triathlon Tasmania for another successful event.
