Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) exams start

Over 7300 Year 11 and 12 students will begin their Tasmanian Certificate of Education written exams from this Monday, November 13.

From next week students will sit exams at 28 exam centres around the state, in more than 50 courses.

I wish all hard working students all the very best for their exams, and I am sure many hours of preparation have been undertaken in recent weeks with the support of principals, teachers, family and friends.

Senior secondary education is the beginning of an exciting future for students in the world of work, training or further study, and the success of our high school extensions is increasing retention and attainment by giving students increased choice as to where they complete Year 11 and 12.

A total of 533 students are studying Year 11 and 12 at the 30 extension schools, as of Term 1, 2017.

For those students who registered, results will be emailed on Tuesday, December 19, with hard copy results and certificates mailed on the same day.
