The latest ANZ Stateometer report has confirmed Tasmania’s strong economy is accelerating, with our economic momentum leading the nation.
The report noted Tasmania’s strong employment growth, low unemployment rate, as well as sound growth in full-time roles.
The report also highlights retail sales growth in Tasmania have surpassed that of any other state or territory, our population growth is twice the long-term trend and we have a "solid pipeline of residential building work to be done.”
While the report is strong testament that our long term plan is working, with 20,000 jobs created since we came to Government and nation leading business conditions, we are committed to continuing to invest into the job creating infrastructure our growing state needs, and create a further 10,000 jobs over the next four years.
