Congratulations to the 2015 recipients of the Sue Napier Post Graduate Fellowship in Education and Scholarship in Education.
These awards are an enduring reminder of Sue Napier’s outstanding contribution to this state and her legacy in education.
Since 2011 the Sue Napier scholarships have encouraged and supported deserving Tasmanians to become teachers and inspire the next generation of Tasmanians.
I congratulate this year’s recipients, Lily Bartkevicius who will undertake a Bachelor of Education and Susan Katarzynski who will study a Masters of Teaching.
I also congratulate Jeff Thomas on winning the Sue Napier Postgraduate Fellowship in Education, who will undertake a PhD in Education.
As a political leader, a teacher and an advocate, Sue promoted education and its capacity to change lives, and I’ve no doubt this year’s scholarships will continue to achieve this.
The Tasmanian Government is proud to support the two education scholarships, and I sincerely thank the friends, family and wider Tasmanian community for their support of the Post Graduate Fellowship.
