Students with disability

The Hodgman Liberal Government is working closely with teachers and parents to improve outcomes for students with disability.

Since coming to Government we have employed an additional 60 full time equivalent support staff - that’s more nurses, speech pathologists, psychologists and social workers, with more than 107 full time equivalent teachers than there were under Labor.

There is now $6 million more in funding for students with a disability in the recent Budget than there was in the previous year - $16 million more than under Labor.

Labor has no policy of their own, only a “review”.

We know there is still a lot more to do, and we’re committed to continuing to work with teachers, families and students to get it right.
