Students Learn Results of Their Hard Work

Please Note: Released Under Embargo Until 12.01am Tuesday 16 December.

More than 7000 Tasmanian Year 11 and 12 students are receiving their Tasmanian Certificate of Education results.

From this morning, those who opted to receive their results by email will have been learning of the outcome of all their work over the past year. Others will be waiting anxiously by their letterboxes over the next day or two.

This is a special time for all students and their families, and we hope they achieved the results they wanted and can start planning their futures with confidence.

The results are also a testament to the hard work and dedication of our outstanding teachers and support staff, in government and non-government schools, who put a lot of effort into helping our students achieve their very best.

I particularly congratulate those students whose results place them in the top 100 by Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) score.

The top three students in the South and also in the State are (in alphabetical order) Connie Beswick, of The Friend's School; Eliza Cropp, of Elizabeth College; and Sam Rigby, of The Friend's School.

In the North-West, the top three students are Emma Allwright, of The Don College; Keil Haas, of Hellyer College; and Vincent Horton, of The Don College.

In the North, the top three students are Jack Hanson, of Launceston College; Arrabella King, of Launceston Church Grammar; and Allan Le, of Launceston College.
