Students complete Premier’s Reading Challenge

Congratulations to all students who participated in this year’s Premier’s Reading Challenge.

A total of 28,754 students across 155 schools took up the Challenge to read 10 books in 10 weeks.

The Tasmanian Liberal Government again partnered with the Hawthorn Football Club to deliver the Challenge, to connect with and encourage more Tasmanian students to participate.

Reading and literacy skills are the basic building blocks for life, and books can open a world of adventure to our children and young people.

Thank you to all of our students’ families and teachers who provided support and encouragement during this year’s Reading Challenge.

I encourage all Tasmanians to stop in at their local library, or visit www.libraries.tas.gov.au, to experience the many free educational and fun opportunities on offer.
