An exciting new series partially filmed in Tasmania is set to change attitudes and habits to help us all reduce the huge amount of waste produced by Australians each year.
Project Planet features five of the country’s most passionate students leading their schools to a more sustainable future, including students from Taroona High School in Hobart.
Their mission is to “break the waste cycle using the 5 R’s” - Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Renew and Recycle.
The Hodgman Liberal Government is proud to support our emerging talent and provide opportunities to help grow their careers, which is why we have invested $40,000 into this series of Project Planet through Screen Tasmania.
The eight-part factual children’s television series commissioned by ABC ME and produced by Emerald Films, is expected to inject approximately $130,000 into the State’s economy.
Project Planet will screen nationally on ABC ME from July 25.
