Still no plan for health

The opposition leader today had a golden opportunity to outline Labor’s plan for health and outline exactly what they would do differently to the Government.

Unsurprisingly, they have failed the Tasmanian community yet again by not outlining what they would do differently.

Labor’s dismal failure to develop a health policy has been laid bare - not a single costed policy that would help our hospitals meet the current demand challenges, and not one commitment to a new bed or staff member for our health services.

This Government has been getting on with delivering record recruitment and unprecedented funding for health - $8.1 billion in the most recent budget, bolstered recently with $600 million of additional funding.

In contrast, Labor have spent all of their time throwing rocks and pointing out the problems.

They simply never come to the table with a solution.

We acknowledge the pressure our services are under and we know how hard our staff are working, but the majority Liberal Government has a clear plan to deliver the facilities our hospitals need, to deliver on the staffing and resources our services are crying out for, and to deliver the care our community deserves.

Labor are simply not credible on health.
