The Hodgman Liberal Government will work with key stakeholders in the North and North-West to bring the Qantas flying school here to Tasmania.
With Qantas having recently released exactly what they require, the Office of the Coordinator-General is actively engaging with all key stakeholders to ensure Tasmania puts forward the best bid possible in what will be a very competitive process
With business confidence and conditions leading the nation, it makes sense for Qantas to base their flying school here in Tasmania.
Relevant stakeholders that will be engaged as Tasmania’s bid is developed include the Devonport and Launceston airports, local Councils, TasPorts, The Launceston and Devonport Chambers of Commerce, UTAS, and TasTafe.
Our track record shows we will always fight for Tasmania’s best interests, and I look forward to the completion of the bid ahead of the June 8 deadline.
