Sporty Speaker Steps Up To Open New Fitness Centre

It was my great pleasure today to officially open Tasmania’s latest health and fitness venture in Hobart city, Anytime Fitness Hobart.

Anytime Fitness is Australia’s largest fitness chain, with Anytime Fitness Hobart being the 450th club to open in Australia.

Anytime Fitness Hobart has invested in excess of $1 million into the local economy and will create at least 10 new jobs for Tasmanians.

This is a locally owned and operated business in the heart of my electorate and I wish co-owners, Shea Siddall and Ben Hilfenhaus, all the very best with their new venture.

Anytime Fitness now has four clubs in Tasmania (Hobart, Sandy Bay, Kingston and Launceston) with long term plans for another 8-10 clubs.

Anytime Fitness first opened in the USA in 2002 and now has a total of 3,300 clubs worldwide. Members have the ability to train anytime and in any of the clubs across the world.

The Tasmanian Government is committed to Building Tasmania’s Future by improving sport and recreation facilities which helps us to achieve our goal of making Tasmania the healthiest population in Australia, and so it is my great pleasure to encourage all Tasmanians to be active, whether it be in a fitness centre or on the sporting field.
