Submissions into the Solar Feed-in Tariff review are now open with Tasmanians encouraged to participate.
As part of the Hodgman Liberal Governments Tasmania First Energy Policy, the review aims to ensure we provide the conditions and incentives to encourage a greater take-up of solar panels.
We committed to review and reshape the solar Feed in Tariff during the election campaign, with the results of the review to be implemented by 1 January 2019.
Solar generation assists Tasmania in diversifying its renewable energy capacity and will help deliver the Government’s target of achieving 100 per cent self-sufficiency in renewable electricity generation by 2022.
A consultation paper is available on the State Growth website inviting written submissions, which closes 6 August 2018.
