Small target White must come out of hiding

Ms White must come out of hiding and address the growing crisis within her party over candidates.

Two Labor candidates - one a sitting MP - have now said they oppose gaming, while another has been publicly associated with alleged impropriety at the state's PCYCs*.

Ms White has faced unprecedented calls from the Tasmanian Hospitality Association to clearly state whether she supports or opposes gaming jobs in regional Tasmania.

Instead, she has sent out the hapless Scott Bacon, which has only confused matters even further.

This is not a new pattern of behaviour for Ms White.  She was also criticised by the THA after she released her disastrous ‘medihotel’ plan with no consultation with industry or health stakeholders.  There are still no details on how it can possibly be safe or an appropriate use of health spending.

It's now time for Ms White to stop hiding and face the music.
