It's no wonder that Nick McKim was sacked as Education Minister. Mr McKim is wrong again.
As we have repeatedly stated, this year we are investing a record amount in education of $1.4 billion.
This includes an increase to public school funding of 2.6 per cent, compared to an increase in non-government sector funding of 2.4 per cent on last year.
In other words, the increase to the public school sector is greater than the non-government sector.
This is part of a pattern from Labor and the Greens where they get an RTI, take it into Parliament, and deliberately misrepresent what it says.
As I said, I took particular care to ensure the necessary savings were delivered proportionately across all sectors, which is only fair.
Mr McKim should apologise for his deliberate attempt to mislead the Parliament, and the people of Tasmania.
