Showcasing Tasmania in the US

Tasmanian businesses will be front and centre at an upcoming trade mission to the US, which will strengthen our ties with the world’s biggest economy and our 6th largest trading partner, and boost export opportunities for Tasmania.

The latest Trade and Investment Mission will promote innovative Tasmanian businesses in key sectors, including advanced manufacturing, food and agribusiness, science and technology.

We will showcase Tasmania’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and their applications across both the defence and space sectors at G’Day USA in Colorado Springs, and host a premium food and beverage event, Tasmania on Show, in Los Angeles featuring celebrity chefs from the LA Chef Conference 2020.

Targeted investment roundtables and meetings will highlight to US investors the significant opportunities for investment in Tasmanian renewable energy, agriculture and tourism sectors.

We will also host a tailored market insights program for our participating small and medium sized businesses including a series of site visits and meetings with buyers, distributers, retailers, and logistics companies, to provide insights into the US market.

The Tasmanian majority Liberal Government is committed to growing trade through the Tasmanian Trade Strategy 2019-2025 to support our businesses to build export capabilities and to take their products and services to the world.
