Service Tasmania’s Campbell Town Service Centre has this morning experienced water damage due to the high volume of rain.
Although the government regrets the inconvenience to customers, the service centre has been closed for the protection of staff and customers.
Service Tasmania is liaising with the Northern Midlands Council to ensure that the service centre is made safe and can reopen as soon as possible.
The High Street Council Chambers premises also house meeting rooms, but other than Service Tasmania there are no other tenants in the building.
In the meantime, notices have been put up on-site and on Service Tasmania Online.
Customers are being asked to go online, call the Government Contact Centre on 1300 13 55 13 or visit another service centre to complete their government business. The nearest service centres to Campbell Town are Longford and Launceston in the north or Oatlands and Bridgewater to the South.
