I am very concerned by suggestions that some students are being excluded or threatened with exclusion from school due to their parents not paying school fees.
I want to be very clear: this is not acceptable, and is contrary to government policy.
I have asked my Departmental Secretary to urgently investigate the claims, and to reinforce to all Government schools that no student is to be excluded from school on that basis.
