Salute Festa Italia

Tasmanians will be able to experience a true taste of Italian culture at this year’s Festa Italia street festival.

Now in its eighth year, the festival will be held on Sunday 19 February at Federal Street in North Hobart and showcases the diverse culture, customs and traditions of our Australian Italian community.

Highlights this year will include Italian music, motorbike displays, children’s activities, cooking demonstrations and grape crushing.

The Festa Italia street festival showcases the richness of Italy’s culture and Tasmania’s ongoing affection for Italian food, produce and people.

Some 15,000 people attended the street festival last year, proving its popularity among visitors and locals alike.

The Tasmanian Government proudly supports the festival through the Community Participation and Appeals Fund.

Congratulations to the Festa Italia committee and the Australian Italian Club on the growing success of this fantastic street festival.
