The Liberal Government is committed to providing the health services Tasmania needs, both now and into the future.
Following the right royal mess the former Labor-Green Government left the RHH project in, I have sought urgent advice on the status of the redevelopment and will report to Cabinet as soon as possible.
In the meantime, work permits for preparatory works which were due to start at the RHH next week have been temporarily withdrawn.
The work permits related to a temporary loading dock, some demolition and installation in Block A.
It is prudent to place this work on hold while advice on the overall project is being sought.
