Rosemary Miller leaves an exceptional legacy at Salamanca Arts Centre

On behalf of the Tasmanian Government, I acknowledge the significant contribution that Rosemary Miller has made to the arts in Tasmania.

Ms Miller has been CEO and Artistic Director of Salamanca Arts Centre for 17 years and has today announced her resignation.

Originally founded in 1976 as a community and arts centre, Salamanca Arts Centre today includes artist studios and performance spaces and is home to many of Tasmania’s leading arts organisations and commercial galleries.

From small beginnings, Salamanca Arts Centre has developed into an internationally recognised cultural and creative hub, and Ms Miller has been instrumental in making this happen.

I congratulate Ms Miller on her many achievements and accolades during her tenure as CEO and Artistic Director of Salamanca Arts Centre and wish her all the best for the future.
