Riverside Primary School redevelopment

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is delivering the biggest ever commitment to education infrastructure in Tasmania’s history.

As part of this investment, today I officially opened the redeveloped facilities at Riverside Primary School in Launceston.

The $2.84 million modern redevelopment includes new and redeveloped learning environments, an outside learning plaza, student kitchen and new soccer fields.

These facilities have been designed to support the school’s growing student population and provide open and flexible spaces for staff and students, featuring attractive modern learning environments that support twenty-first-century learning approaches.

I would like to congratulate Artas Architects and R&S Rosier Construction for their excellent work in creating spaces that engage, inspire and support our students.

The Government is committed to improving education standards across the state and is investing record amounts into our education to build new and upgrade schools, new Child and Family Learning Centres, new and upgraded kindergartens and school farm redevelopments.
